You might be able to earn extra money selling recipe ideas with a little work and effort. Whether you’re a professional cook, a food lover that can create unique and delicious dishes, or just like to share recipes your mom or grandma used to cook delicious food, you can do this.
Here are a few ways you can earn money online selling recipes, whether your your’
1. Start a Food Blog
Make money with a food blog. Having your own recipes make a food blog even better and more attractive, as you can either sell them to your readers, or, to attract more traffic, you can give them away as ebooks in exchange for their name and email address.
That will be a great way to build a list that you can keep in touch with and make money from.
2. Publish them on Article Websites
Some websites to check out are Squidoo, Helium.com, Xomba.com and Triond.com . These are always on the look-out for new recipes. They will pay you a percentage of the revenue they collect due to the recipe you gave them.
First sign-up and submit your recipe. Take note, that this will need the approval of an editor before they upload it on their site. Some ads will be placed around the recipe. After all, this is how they make money. Expect to earn somewhere between 50 to 80 percent from the income received each time a visitor clicks on those ads.
Of course, more revenues will be fetched when more visitors read your article. Your recipes are mostly to be found by visitors who use search engines. Since these are known sites, your recipe can likely land on the first page of the results .
This guy (who by the way has a great post on how to do it right on Squidoo) is making good money with his recipes on Squidoo.
This is much better than putting the recipe on a new blog which most possibly will land on the 10th page of Google results.
And if your recipe is delicious, then expect other food magazines and blogs to link your recipe on their sites. This will definitely get your recipe more exposure and result to higher earnings!
But of course, do not expect to earn so much immediately when you upload your recipe. There are some bloggers who earn as small as .05, while there are others who can earn as much as $40 per contributed recipe.
It might take plenty of recipes to start making good cash. But what’s good about it is that these earnings can continue to accumulate forever.
3. Enter Contests
Contests. Yes, this is one of the great ways of earning cash using those well loved recipes. There are contests that are held regularly, and they award cash prizes for winners monthly.
4. Sell Recipes on Your Own Site
Do you want to earn $400 hundreds for each recipe. Then step up, and take that recipe writing skill to the higher level.
Those article directories enumerated earlier allow you to have your short biography and a link to your website at the bottom of the article.
There is no need to create a very elaborate website. Just write some info on your cooking skills and include some contact information just in case the visitor wants to hire you to create recipes. Checkout
Denise Vivaldo’s website to see what I am talking about.
Your own website will be of great help as it will let you start building your reputation. This may even result to a more rewarding offer from a publishing company or even a celebrity chef!
5. Become a kindle Publisher
I just published
my first Kindle book. You can do the same by compiling a few unique recipes into a book and sell it on Amazon Kindle. There are tons of people who are making money selling all kinds of recipes and food related books on Kindle.
With kindle. you don’t have to worry about hiring a publisher who would agree to publish you, nor do you have to spend much on marketing. Put your recipe book together, find a proof reader to make sure everything looks good.
If you are confident of your work, then at least have a family member or a friend double check things. Upload it to Kindle, wait 12 hours for it be approved, and once its live, get the word out.
Recipes books do sell very well on Kindle. If you can manage to give readers truly unique recipes , you can not only make good money with the first book, but you also get some loyal readers who you sell more books to.
